Bonsai Club – The Board of Directors and Executive Officers

The purpose of the Bonsai Club is to provide a learning environment where those interested in bonsai trees can grow, maintain and learn about raising them. Whether you are just starting out or have been an avid bonsai enthusiast for years, we welcome you to join us and learn from our experienced members and professionals.

We have an active calendar of meetings throughout the year and offer a variety of topics, demonstrations, workshops and seminars. We also sponsor a bonsai exhibition each spring and a fundraiser auction in late summer to raise funds for our activities.

Our mission is to share the joy of Bonsai with our members and their families; to promote knowledge, artistic skill, horticultural expertise and fellowship in bonsai through education, presentations and events; and to foster an environment of mutual support, encouragement and friendship among those involved in bonsai.

About Our Board of Directors and Executive Officers

The board is comprised of a volunteer group of enthusiastic members, all with the common interest in bonsai. The Board is responsible for assisting in the planning of club events and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the organization.

President, Ryan Lechner (Ryan) has over 8 years of experience in management consulting, operations and finance. Prior to joining Bonsai, he worked at Bain & Company and on the growth strategy team at Netflix in their Content Strategy and FP&A departments.

Vice-President, Nico DiSilva (Nico) has over 8 years of experience in investing and operating in growth-stage technology companies. Previously, he worked at Pritzker Group Venture Capital where he focused on early stage and growth investments.
