If you’d like to have a bonsai money tree, you’ll have to learn a few important tips about caring for the tree. The first thing to do is to keep it moist. Its preferred temperature range is around 65-90 degrees and a humidity level of 50 percent or more. You can increase humidity by placing pebble trays filled with water around the base of the money tree, misting its leaves, or using a humidifier.
The money tree is native to marshy wetlands and produces large seedpods containing peanut-like nuts. It can grow to 60 feet in the wild, but will be a more manageable six to eight feet tall indoors. In fact, you can even train a money tree to grow as a bonsai.
Because money trees are hardy plants, they rarely suffer from pests or diseases. However, you should be aware that they are susceptible to mealybugs if they are grown in dry environments.
